Rozzano Zamorano: Bio

Rozzano Zamorano

Rozzano Zamorano received his first bass guitar from his father at the age of twelve and still plays that instrument to this day. Rozz has received countless nominations for best bassist in the Houston Press and won the honor in 2002. When Rozz performs live he plays both acoustic and electric bass guitar with an in your face jaw dropping style that brings the art of bass playing to a new level.

An enthusiastic fan was once overheard saying;
“calling Rozz just another bass player is like calling the Golden Gate just another bridge.”

Rozzano Zamorano has performed as a solo bassist on bills with such greats as;
Stanley Jordan, Eric Johnson, Johnny Winters, Eric Sardinas and the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey.
Rozz has jammed with Chris Duarte, Jay Hooks, Chris Young and MIke Severson.

Rozzano Zamorano has performed with his band Fondue Monks on bills with;
Little Feet, Yes, Jimmy Buffet, Van Halen, BB King, Buddy Guy, Tito and Tarantula, Iron Butterfly, Lenny Kravitz, Smashmouth, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, 38 Special, Cheap Trick and Eric Burden.
